2. Purposes for which we process personal data

If you register via the online registration for the Böblinger Open, we save the data specified in this framework (e.g. name, first name, street, city, email address) for the purpose of the proper execution of the tournament.

The provision of the aforementioned personal data is required to be able to participate in the Böblinger open. If you do not provide us with this information, you will not be able to participate in the tournament or we may not perform the tournament properly.

If you connect with us via our contact form, we process and store the specified personal data such as name, email address to process your request.

The provision of contact information is required in order to be able to answer your request. Otherwise we will not be able to process it.

In addition, personal data relating to the coverage of the tournament will be published on the association's website, in social media appearances and on the part of the professional associations and sent to local, regional and transmitted via regional print media.

 

3. Legal basis for data processing

The processing of personal data takes place on the basis of the necessity for the fulfilment of a contract pursuant to article 6 para 1b GDPR. The contractual relationship is an event and enables participation in the Böblinger open.

If personal data are collected without the processing required for the fulfilment of the contract, the processing takes place on the basis of a consent pursuant to Article 6 para 1a in conjunction with article 7 GDPR.

The publication of personal data on the Internet or in local, regional or supra-regional print media is to protect the legitimate interests of the association (cf. article 6 para. 1f GDPR). The association's legitimate interest is to inform the public by reporting on the activities of the Association. In this context, personal data including images of the participants, for example, will be published in the context of the tournament coverage.

 

4. Recipient of the data

After the end of the tournament, we transmit personal data to the following recipients in order to fulfil the required reporting requirements:

1. German Chess Federation (DSB)

Content and purpose of the transmission:
DWZ-Evaluation of the tournament by reporting the tournament result to the responsible DWZ editor

2. World Chess Federation FIDE

Content and purpose of the transmission:
determination of FIDE ratings and title norms by reporting the tournament report in the form of the Tournament report File (TRF) via the competent Rating Officer to the World Chess Federation FIDE.

 

5. Duration of data storage

The data will be saved for the duration of the tournament. Upon completion of the tournament, the data will be deleted and archived in order to answer any questions about the previous tournament or to contact certain participants for one of the upcoming tournaments.

Certain categories of data are stored in the tournament archive for the purpose of the tournament Chronicle. These are categories such as first name, surname and nationality and the particular sporting achievements or results that the person concerned participated in.

The storage is based on a legitimate interest of the association in the historical documentation of sporting events and successes and the respective composition of the participants in the tournaments.

 

6. Right to information and/or deletion of data

You have the right to request confirmation as to whether relevant data will be processed and for information on this data as well as for further details and copy of the data in accordance with article 15 GDPR.

You have in accordance with Article 16 GDPR the right to request the completion of the data relating to it or the correction of the incorrect data concerning it.

You have, in accordance with article 17 GDPR, the right to require certain data to be deleted immediately or, alternatively, to require a restriction on the processing of the data in accordance with article 18 GDPR.

You have the right to demand that the data relating to you which you have provided to us be obtained in accordance with article 20 of the GDPR and to request their transmission to other persons responsible.

8. Safety of processing in accordance with article 32 GDPR

We use the 1 & 1 Internet se in 56410 Montabaur as a hosting service provider for our website.

As a customer of this service provider, we store personal data on its servers. We have concluded an order processing contract with the 1 & 1 Internet SE, which can be viewed with us on request.

The following specific technical and organisational measures for the protection of data are set out in writing under this agreement:
